RICHLAND CHEESE is produced in over forty delicious varieties and is made directly from the fresh milk of American dairy cows. Cheese is an excellent source of protein and calcium.
We supply American cheeses to retail, food services, and industrial food processing sectors. America’s award-winning cheeses are made from premium quality American AA grade raw milk produced using traditional cheese-making techniques and the latest technology. This makes the extensive range of American cheeses offered by Richland Dairies among the best quality in the world.
Cheeses we supply are available in a range of sizes, from large vacuum-packed and sealed blocks in polyethylene-lined cardboard cartons to individually wrapped processed cheese slices. We recommend that cheese be stored under refrigeration in an odor free environment with low humidity. Long term storage can be achieved by storing cheddar or curd in a frozen state at minus 18 degrees Celsius.

Cheddar Cheese

Applications:
Natural Cheddar Cheese has many applications available depending on the age of the cheese.
“Fresh” – Up to one month of age. Fresh cheddar cheese has a light flavor, making it ideal for processing or further maturing.
“Mild” – Matured for up to 3 months. Mild cheese has a clean, mild flavor. Generally, it can be stored for further maturing. May be used to top breads, to be melted in cooking, or to flavor baked foods.
“Tasty” – Matured for 6 to 9 months. Full-bodied flavor. Its uses include manufacture of savory breads and scones, various pasta dishes, soups and sauces. It is also suitable for cutting and packing into smaller retail units.
“Vintage” – Matured for 9 to 12 months. It has a rich flavor. It can be used as table cheese, snack cheese, or in bread, scones, biscuits, pasta dishes, soups and sauces.

Mozzarella

Mozzarella is a traditional Italian-style cheese, with a stringy texture. During the manufacture process, it is pulled into long threads, giving the cheese a ‘stringy’ and ‘stretchy’ texture when heated.

Pizza Cheese

Pizza Cheese is an Italian-style cheese with a slightly stringy texture, giving its characteristic stretch when heated. It is ideal for applications in baking, as it provides minimal browning in high temperature conveyor ovens and can safely withstand temperatures above 280 degrees C.

Parmesan

Parmesan Cheese is a traditional Italian-style matured Cheese with a distinctive, sharp flavor. It is available in block, grated, shredded, and shaved forms.

Used in many foods to provide a typically Italian flavor and aroma.
Soups, Lasagna, Pasta Dishes, Sauces, Savory biscuits, Meat dishes.
Topping for added flavor

Romano

Romano Cheese is an Italian-style hard cheese with a distinct piquant flavor. Romano has a slightly open texture with granular form. It is available in 20kg block form.
Applications:
Used in many foods to provide a typically Italian flavor and scent.
Soups, Lasagna, Pasta Dishes, Sauces, Savory biscuits, Meat dishes.
Topping for added flavor.

Pecorino

Pecorino Cheese is a traditional Italian-style matured cheese with a distinctive piquant flavor. It is available in 6kg Random Weight (R/W) Wheel.

Pepato

Pepato Cheese is a traditional Italian-style matured cheese with a distinctive piquant flavor. Pepper-corns are used in the manufacturing process to give this cheese a unique pepper flavor. It is available in 6kg Random Weight (R/W) Wheel.

Ricotta

Gouda

Gouda Cheese is a semi-hard, rindless cheese. It has a mild, nutty flavor, smooth, plastic body and some eye formation.

Swiss

Swiss Cheese is a semi-hard, rindless cheese with a sweet, nutty flavor. The cheese has a dense texture with medium sized eyes found throughout the cheese. Firm, smooth, plastic body with high solids content.
